About Us

Radiant Body is a bath and body products company owned, created and built by Roger Thicke and Susan Wally Thicke. Together we manage every aspect of our company. We create our products with certified organic ingredients or plant-based ingredients if certified organic ingredients are not available and we set the intention to hold the energy of love as well as appreciation with respect for all life within them.

Roger conceptualized the products subtly years before he began formulating. His passion for the earth, soil and plants began when he was a small child living on his parent’s 212-acre farm in the southeastern corner of Minnesota. Irma, Roger’s mother taught him how to use the plants that grew on their land for healing. She inspired him by sharing her holistic understanding of the plants through her intuition, her wisdom, her experience and her spiritual knowledge.

Roger’s love for the plants and the soil motivated him to purchase the family farm with two of his brothers when his parents retired. The deep respect the three brothers shared for the earth inspired them to return to the organic practices their father employed when he purchased the farm. Roger’s connection with the earth deepened as he worked with the soil planting, cultivating and harvesting the crops. During the time Roger co-owned the family farm, Roger and I operated a small organic flower business. Our flower business supported Roger to continue to nurture his interest in the plants and soil.

In 1994 Roger and I left the farm and moved to Manitou Springs, Colorado where Roger was a student of the Colorado Institute of Massage Therapy. When he completed his studies we returned to Minnesota where he built his practice as a therapeutic massage therapist. During the time he was a massage therapist he worked with essential oils and taught himself how to utilize their properties to assist the clients he worked with in healing themselves. His interest in essential oils inspired him to create his own bath and body products. In 2002, Roger closed his massage therapy practice to work full time formulating our products and distributing them. In 2005, I resigned from teaching to join him.

We live and work together every day, with our eight dogs, in the area where we both grew up in the southeastern corner of Minnesota, near the beautiful Mississippi River Valley. Each day we create time to sit together to consciously express our deep appreciation for all of the gifs in our lives. We recognize and value all of the love, happiness and joyful exuberance we experience.

We extend our appreciation to include every aspect of our company beginning with the earth that generously shares the plants from which our ingredients are extracted. We are grateful for the soil the plants grow in, as well as the oxygen the plants breath, and the rain that waters the plants. We appreciate the nourishment the plants receive from the sun.

We expand our thanks to the people who lovingly plant the seeds and tend to the plants from their beginning to their harvest. We appreciate the people who extract the oils from the plants we use in our products. We are grateful for the chemists who study the plants to determine which ingredients compliment one another.

Our gratitude includes the vendors we work with directly and the people behind the scenes who support them such as secretaries, receptionists, customer service representatives, managers, accountants, maintenance, industrial employees, and more. We appreciate all of the people who work to create the beautiful packaging and labels. We appreciate the transportation companies and employees who tirelessly work to deliver our inventory to us and distribute our products all over the world.

We value the sales people who educate consumers on the benefits our products offer. We appreciate their tireless enthusiasm to promote our products. We appreciate the stores and businesses that place their trust in the quality of our products by selling them. We are grateful to our customers for whom we create our products.
